Canso X Mountain Adventure

March 28, 2015

I've been to Canso X twice during the month of March, 2015. My first trip was with my colleagues at Buildabilitis, Inc. My second trip was with the Malilays last March 28, 2015.

Here's a few snaps of what you can do up the Mountains:

Enjoy a game of Poker
For those who don't want to trek, cottages are available for you to lounge around and wait for your adventure seeker friends.

Don't worry, you get to have rest breaks.

A little complexity with the trail begins when the trees are less, and the rocks surrounding waters are more.

Entrance to the forbidden cave

The owners have not given the 'go' signal to let guests enter the cave. Right now all you can get to see is the entrance and take a few snapshots of it. Make sure to bring your flash light so you can see where you're going. It's a cave with 3 levels, the administration plan to put stairs which will lead you to the top. It was very tempting to go and try it out without the stairs but our guides strictly prohibited it.

End the trip with a bonfire

Down by the old school there's a huge lot where you can set up your bonfire without the fear of causing damage to the property. We brought hotdog, marshmallows and chicken which we grilled ourselves to eat for dinner.

The whole trek will be around 3 - 4 hours depending on the group. Some walk fast while some like to leisurely stroll and take a lot of pictures. You can bring your own lunch or you can ask the staff to buy food for you at the near by shops. During my trip with my colleagues we brought uncooked squid, chicken, and fish and we got to grill them there. During my trip with my friends from Manila, we asked the staff to buy Balamban Liempo and chicken for us and puso. The price is affordable and the taste is good. Make sure to bring lots of water, they do not sell bottled water. Although they have a water dispenser at the office, it might be embarrassing to keep on refilling it, since this is a free supply for their workers and not for the guests.

Guests can also stay overnight for a fee of Php 250.00. Canso X will not provide you with a tent, so bring your own. They have a camp site where there's a clean bathroom and about 4 shower rooms. A guard on duty will be near the camp site when visitors decide to spend the night.

If you are taking the v-hire you can wait by the entrance, or if you do not want to wait you can ask the guard to wait for you. The staff are very accommodating to your needs.
